As founder and chairman of the Young Lords Party, Luciano’s commitment to community empowerment, ethnic pride, and civil rights was pivotal in changing the color of politics, culture, and society from New York to Puerto Rico. In addition to his community activism, Luciano is highly accomplished in television, radio, music, poetry, journalism and stage productions.

John Lee
John Lee is a legendary former computer hacker turned filmmaker. He has been featured in media outlets from CBS’ 60 minutes to Vibe, One World, The Industry Standard, NV, the Source Magazine, Mass Appeal and Esquire. John Lee was the first African-American on the cover of Wired Magazine.

John Lee is currently a digital artist in residence in the BFF Lab.

Leba Haber
Leba is a digital artist in residence in the BFF Lab where she has done groundbreaking work in developed her concepts for online interactive narratives that demonstrate how film can be integrated with the web to expand the narrative and engage the audience in new ways. Her first project, WEAPONS OF MISDIRECTION, was funded by the Nathan Cummings Foundation and went on to win the 2005 WEBBY for Best Political Website.

Tania Cuevas-Martinez
Tania Cuevas Martinez is an award winning filmmaker known for her socio-political documentaries and innovative filmmaking approach. Tania's most recent work was aired on BET, UPN, and MTV Brazil.

In addition to her creative work as a filmmaker, Tania co-founded the H20 International Film Festival in 2002 for filmmakers with Hip Hop works. She also launched 11th Parallel Worldwide, a media and marketing company focused on marketing artists, filmmakers and entertainment-based brands in the international marketplace. Currently Tania is working as a segment producer for CURRENT TV.
